The first Fantasy Digiturf Stable Competition gathered a mammoth 43 entrants for its first month. Not bad for its first run. Mckinleys was equally impressed!
Exceeding all expectations, the first Fantasy Digiturf Stable Competition gathered a mammoth 43 entrants for its first month. Amongst those 43 entrants were some iconic figures in the digi world community, including Chrisman and Mudflaps, who when it comes to top end G1 racing know one knows it better than these guys. Because of this I was expecting big things from these two, and though Mud has started the competition reasonably well, our messiah Chris has fallen way short so far, and is currently struggling down in 42nd position (something to work on next season Chris lol). It’s interesting to see the familiar tipping competition maestros Evil, UTE and Black Lotus all performing well and looking like the three to beat. I’m sure people have realised now that there is a lot more strategy involved than probably first anticipated. It’s not about choosing the best horses at the top of the standings; it’s about choosing the horses with the qualifying races during the period the competition runs to gain the points for victory. Many horses are sitting there with no points so far in the competition, and even though they have a great chance at scoring points in the championship races, they will only really be catching up with the horses that have raced in the recent qualifiers. The stand out horses of the competition so far have been Chromium in the fillies juvenile classic standings, and Zarzuela in the fillies juvenile sprint standings, amassing 22 and 21 points respectively. I will be updating the standings after each series has been ran so as to let everyone know how they are getting on and hopefully bring a little bit of extra excitement, especially to those who don’t have runners themselves. One last thing guys. As it seems like the first time in a long long time that I am not pregnant for a Championship series (well I don’t think I am anyway) I am planning on having a couple of Shandy's and logging on to traxide to enjoy the big occasion with a bunch of happy souls. I encourage everyone to meet on traxide for the big races and get the place rocking again. The champ series is the highlight of the season on Digi and has been built up for the past four months, and it is the perfect time to let your hair down and have a bit of fun with each other. You never know Leo might even turn up with the pole dancers for all you guys and if Crow brings his pipes it will be a merry time for all rofl. Good luck with both the Fantasy Digiturf Stable Competition
and races to those with horses entered. I’m getting excited already.
