Enter the QE II Celebrations!

This weekend Digiturf.com is celebrating Queen Elizabeth’s birthday. Even though she has two birthdays, the 21st April being her real birthday but she only celebrates it officially later in the year, the Race Programmer has always been fond of the queen, so he’s decided to celebrate both.

We kid you not, the Race Programmer and Queen Elizabeth have enjoyed a very close relationship ever since he taught her how to ride her first horse. He compared her to another Elizabeth, some actress trying to make a name for herself in movies about dogs and horses, while she compared him to an inept goatherd. Had it not been for Philip, the Race Programmer maintains his future would have been different. Fortunately, her loss is Digiturf.com’s gain. Had it not been for the Race Programmer we would not be hosting the QEII Celebrations.

Digiturf.com is sponsoring the QEII Celebrations with US$500.00 and everyone is welcome to enter.

One horse from each grade that competes in the QEII Celebrations will be randomly selected from a lucky draw to win one of the following prizes:

US$60.00 G1 Winner:
US$25.00 G2 Winner:
US$15.00 G3 Winner:

(Prizes will be paid on Tuesday, 24 April 2012.)

There will also be two Prive races sponsored with US$200.00 cash each:

Prive QE II Celebration D Division 4-7Y C - Gr1

Chrisman’s record breaking earnings break records and the bank!

Chrisman’s Record Breaking Earnings Break The Bank!

He’s just broken the record for highest earnings on Digiturf.com, which deserves a round of applause because that’s no mean feat, but he also did it while being one of the nicest trainers in the virtual horse racing community, which is why we’re really going to enjoy celebrating his success.

Chrisman is on a roll as he goes from strength to strength with each passing season. He’s just won the Digiturf.com Equine Award for Most Outstanding Owner of the Season for the previous season, celebrated winning his first million in virtual horse racing, collected his trophies for last season’s Triple Crown Stayers Championship 3Y F and Arlington Gold Cup 4-7Y C and today he’s just broken the current record for highest earnings which was previously set by Pillbutt at US$1,136,239.92.

When Chrisman became a bona fide millionaire on Digiturf.com, the most obvious thing to do was pay tribute to him by creating a day of virtual horse races in his honor, hoping it would next millionaire. Little did anyone know it would fuel him to become the richest man in the history of virtual horse racing. He ever won $50 in the Chrisman Millionaire Races Lucky Draw!

Chrisman is living the American dream on Digiturf.com where anyone enjoy financial freedom and virtual success through hard training, competitive racing giving nothing less than your very best. His virtual success is no different from any other trainer who signed up for their virtual stable on Digiturf.com and started training his horses for every dollar they were worth.

With 48,639 virtual horse races to his credit, including over 8,600 wins and 36 Championship Series titles, Chrisman has set a precedent that will be hard to beat. He even hold the title to be being the first trainer to win a superfecta racing horses as four of his horses placed won first, second, third and fourth Kentucky Fillies Classic Championship. It was virtually impossible but Chrisman did it, admitting that he had hoped he’d win but was in a state of shock while MudFlaps added he’d be in shock if anyone else had done it.

Count those silks as four of Chrisman's horses cross the finish line!

What does Chrisman attribute his success to in virtual horseracing? He says, “You have to be in it to win it!”

If anybody embodies that winning spirit on Digiturf.com it is Chrisman, who in Samster’s words, is the undisputed champion in the new era of Digiturf- and he did it the hard way and the only way, he earned it!

Digiturf.com would like to congratulate Chrisman on behalf of the virtual horse racing community his phenomenal accomplishments and wish him every possible success on his next world breaking record!

Did you know you can double your winnings if your horse wains all three Championships in the Triple Crown?

$7,000 Virtual Triple Crown Championship!

Combine the exciting Kentucky Derby and the speed of the Preakness Stakes with the prestige of the Belmont Stakes and you would have the three most influential, challenging and lucrative horse racing championship titles which together form the Triple Crown of Thoroughbred Racing.

Winning any of the Kentucky Derby, Preakness Stakes or Belmont Stakes championship titles is a huge honor for any trainer of thoroughbred race horses but winning all three is the stuff of what legends are made of. Winning all three championships in the Triple Crown will automatically double your collective winnings from all three races but it’s not just about the money because even though the crowd may forget a champion they never forget the winner of the Triple Crown of Thoroughbred Racing.

Successful horse trainers know that understanding their horse’s individual needs can mean the difference between winning US$1,000,000.00 at Belmont or making US$5.00 a ride leading screaming children on your pony around a carnival circle. Your relationship with your horse is pretty much like your relationship with your wife in that it needs to be nurtured. Unfortunately, unless you’re living in the third world, taking a stick to your wife is not something she’s going to take lying down. And, if you thought an ‘autumn beige’ tablecloth looked pretty much the same as one in ‘rustic ivory’ don’t think your horse is going to be too thrilled either about running over a turf track with a soft going just because you think it looks the same as a firm going. Horses can tell the difference and they will expect you to know that without them being able to say so.

Digiturf.com’s Virtual Triple Crown covers the Kentucky Derby, Preakness Stakes and Belmont Stakes, from qualifying races into championship finals, and is worth over US$7,000.00. You might be stuck with a horse that has very specific preferences, in which case you’re only going to be entered into one championship, but if your horse is open to racing over all distances you may well find yourself on the track towards becoming the next Virtual Triple Crown Champion on Digiturf.com.

The Virtual Triple Crown Championship works in the same way as Digiturf.com’s seasonal (4-monthly) Championship Series. And as with true to real life racing your virtual horses also need to qualify for their place in the championships. You have thirty-six qualifying races over 1800m, 2200m, and 2400m distances for colts and fillies. Each qualifier is worth an added US$100.00 in bonus credits while each final is worth an extra US$500.00 cash. Each trainer is in it for themself. It’s seven weeks of non-stop qualifying races that build up to the Kentucky, Preakness, and Belmont Stakes Championship Finals. Plus there are also Consolations where 1st, 2nd, and 3rd instances are worth US$200.00, US$150.00, and US$100.00 in bonus credits respectively - sponsored proportionately to the number of runners. The Virtual Triple Crown Championship is extremely competitive because while winning one Virtual Triple Crown Championship is an accomplishment, winning all three is virtually impossible.

The Virtual Triple Crown Championships begin on Sunday, April 22nd, 2012 and run until Saturday, June 9th, 2012.

Want to win $1,000 in the Eggs-tra Eggs-citing #Easter Races on Digiturf (6-9 April 2012)?

Eggs-tra Eggs-citing Easter Races - $1,000 Sponsorships!

Easter is a time for rebirth and renewal, both physically and metaphysically, and a friendly reminder to re-start your forgotten New Year resolutions after you’ve honoured your spiritual self and over indulged your physical self on Easter treats. What would Easter be without candied Easter eggs, chocolate Easter bunnies and spicy hot cross buns?

In more austere times, the traditional Easter egg was hardboiled. It was hardly an exciting treat unless you grew up in the dark ages, until some enterprising individuals decided that a splash of colour and rhinestones was all the humble breakfast food needed to become more exciting. It was probably hard enough trying to get finicky kids to eat a boiled egg unless you could make it more exciting for them. All that was needed was to replace the insides with chocolate and fondant and the sale of Easter eggs took off.

The Race Programmer was going to take credit for re-inventing the Easter egg until we reminded him how that would make him older than Hugh Hefner. Fortunately, he did reinvent horse racing for the masses by bringing it online through Digiturf.com. He also made virtual horse racing eggs-tra eggs-citing by sponsoring the races with more sponsorships than one would think was virtually possible. If sponsorships were used as Easter eggs in an Easter egg hunt then you’d find them with your mouse and feed them to horses like candy-coated sugar cubes. There’s enough to make you sick - but not enough to make you stop.

Digiturf.com’s Eggs-tra Eggs-citing Easter races is a four day eggs-travaganza reminding everyone to cherish the simple things in life, celebrate with a splash of colour, indulge in moderation (if only that were possible!) but also to get your horses racing over the Easter weekend for all the stickiest and sweetest virtual horse racing sponsorships they’re capable of finding. In keeping with the traditional Easter egg hunt, you’ll find your Easter treats hidden in the Race Program in the Eggs-tra Eggs-citing Easter races.
