You're invited to the #RoyalWedding races as our guest.

The Royal Wedding 2011 Races

Digiturf.com will be commemorating the Royal Wedding 2011 with a day of racing in honor of Prince William and Miss Catherine Middleton on the 29th April, 2011 with races sponsored in excess $1,960.

Royal weddings capture the imagination of the public as they represent the highest ideals of romance, commitment and marriage. Every girl dreams of meeting her Prince Charming and every man tries to fill that role when he meets the girl of his dreams. It’s equal parts of childhood fantasy, idealistic romance and media spectacle all rolled into a moment in time when one private kiss between a prince and his bride unites the entire world for a split second, or maybe just that special day but hopefully for an eternity.

A bride’s wedding day is one day when she hopes to be treated like a princess. The 29th April, 2011 is one day when Catherine Middleton expects to feel as special as any bride when she exchanges vows with Prince William, her future husband and the future King of England. This Royal Wedding will unite both the young prince and his bride as a couple before the world.

To commemorate this special occasion, Digiturf.com will be scheduling all Grade 1 races as Royal Wedding 2011 races with added £1,960 sponsorships on the 29th April, 2011 in honour of the royal couple as they celebrate their wedding day.

In addition to being a day when the virtual horse racing community can pay tribute to the Royal Couple and be included in the proceedings, it will also become a souvenir of the day when the virtual horse racing community raced in the same circles as royalty.

A decade has passed with over 465,000 successful races running while Digiturf.com has paid out over $17,354,000 to the winners. Virtual horse racing on Digiturf.com has also become one of the fastest growing sports on the Internet. In addition to competing in the comprehensive race program players can train their horses, re-watch their races through an interactive 3D RaceViewer, buy and sell their horses through public auctions and even compete in three seasonal Championship Series worth $99,000.

Winning big money is obviously a big draw card with all horse racing events but Digiturf.com attributes its success to the cutting-edge CGI technology which is used to bring the traditional sport of kings online to the masses through a sophisticated gaming interface while still retaining the skills of horsemanship. An added advantage is the vibrant online community created through the public and private messaging platforms and discussions boards.

Digiturf.com is extending an invitation to all its valued members to join the celebration of its 10th Anniversary!

$1,000 Candy coated easter treats worth $1,000 on Digiturf.com!

Candy Coated Easter Racing - Over $1,000 Added Sponsorships!

Who doesn’t like candy?

We’re not going to sugarcoat the fact that candy is really bad for you but how can anyone resist candy? It’s sticky and sweet and goes down like a treat, it dive bombs through your bloodstream before hitting all those pleasure receptors in your brain. It feels so good that you just want more. Candy delivers the ultimate sugar high and it’s also a super-duper instant energy booster, mood lifter, and it’s legal. But then you crash and burn as your insulin and blood sugar levels take you on an emotional rollercoaster ride from hell until you get your hands on your next delicious candy fix.

Without candy you find yourself tired, listless, irritable, and craving more candy. Your little candy cravings spiral out of control until you get your next fix, then your next and your next and your next. Candy becomes a demon that tears you up from the inside out until you feed it more candy. It’s a vicious cycle that will one day end up with you making a tearful confession on Oprah!

The truth is that candy is a gateway drug to stronger and more powerful addictive substances like heroin. Researchers have proven that candy abuse leads to anti-social behavior in kids. We’re reluctant to say this, but even the race programmer has fought his own demons in his day - all of which he attributes to his uncontrollable desire for candy.

Easter presents us with a moral dilemma on Digiturf.com. Do we stock the Tack Shop with every single Easter confection from chocolate Easter bunnies wrapped in gold foil, caramel filled Easter bunnies, candy coated chocolate Easter eggs, Easter creme eggs, sticky hot cross buns, and even an Easter ham (glazed with honey!)? Or do we dish out unsweetened Easter granola bars made with organic wild oats and raw nuts? We didn’t think you’d want that either.

Just thinking about it makes our blood boil to a soft ball sugar consistency because we wanted to offer the valued virtual horse racing community something that is sticky, sweet, and scrumptious for Easter without compromising your nutritional and emotional wellbeing. It had to deliver enough instant energy to take you on an emotional rollercoaster ride that would excite you without leaving you feeling burnt out. It also had to be legal but not too healthy that it was borderline boring. Then we came up with the Candy Coated Easter Divisions!

The Candy Coated Easter Divisions are exactly what they sound like. The sweetest, stickiest races you will ever find on Digiturf.com. There are more kilojoules in these sponsorships than any candy bar and more excitement than any rollercoaster ride. The race programmer has sugarcoated four daily division races with $50 & $75 crunchy caramelized cash sponsorships that just melts in your mouth and drops straight to your hips (assuming you keep your wallet in your back pocket) before spurring your horses straight into the Winner’s Circle! How wicked is that?

Hop those horses into extra instances and the RP will sponsor those too!

Where is the next Triple Crown winner going to come from?

If you're a serious horse racing enthusiast that's attracted to o the sponsorships- and obviously winning money is big on Digiturf.com, then you need to win a the Virtual triple Crown Championship of virtual horse racing.

The Virtual Triple Crown Championships are the ultimate races for any horse owner. Winning one Triple Crown Championship is an accomplishment within its own right, but winning all three championships over consecutive days is virtually impossible, even in virtual racing. A Triple Crown victory almost implies that you descended from royalty, and possibly even the gods, because winning a Triple Crown is about as easy as trying to bottle lightning.

Samster approaches a challenge like a predator stalks its prey: methodically. But there was one obstacle between her and her first championship trophy: her best filly, Annie's Dangerous, had previously displayed incredible potential in her Qualifiers as a juvenile but nothing that translated well in the Championship Series Finals - but Samster persisted with Annie's Dangerous. She was able to qualify for all the Triple Crown Championship races.

The Triple Crown Championships are the ultimate races for any horse owner.

On November 27, 2003, Annie's Dangerous won her first championship title in the Triple Crown Sprint Championship. The following day she won the Triple Crown Classic Championship. Unbelievably, on the third day Annie's Dangerous won the Triple Crown Stayers Championship to rapturous applause as she became the first winner of the Virtual Triple Crown of Thoroughbred Racing. It was a phenomenal accomplishment that has never been repeated; neither online at Digiturf.com nor in in real-life horse racing when Nijinsky won the Triple Crown in 1970.

Virtual horse racing fever captured the world's imagination. Even Bill Finley from NY Times expressed his disbelief that a virtual horse could earn US$6,000.00 when he interviewed Samster on Sirius XM Radio. Ever gracious, the Queen of virtual horse racing corrected Bill, confirming that while Annie's Dangerous had won $6,000.00 (US) in Digiturf.com's Triple Crown Championships -- her filly had actually won close to $20,000.00 (US) before she was retired from active racing. Samster even convinced the esteemed Bill Finley to try his hand at virtual horse racing. Ironically, despite her incredible achievements on Digiturf.com, Samster admits she still loves winning the small races as much as she does the big ones.

Samster is expected to win her 9,000th race on Digiturf.com within the next 24 hours- now that is something to get excited about.

Fresh from his championship races, Jekegr says he was a fan of horse racing and Digi it was a good fit.

Championship Interview with Jekegr Stables

What sparked your interest in virtual horse racing?
I am fan of horse racing. When i stumbled across Digi it was a good fit.

What do you look forward to most when playing on virtual horse racing?
I think i probably look forward to the auctions more than anything else.

How does playing on virtual horse racing compare to real horse racing?
The connection is abit of a narrow thread. but, some ways it is better. and others are abit worse.

Tell us about your first winner and your other top horses.
it wasn't my first winner. but, a horses named Batton Princes was one of my first claims and won a couple for me. i was hooked. Cho Cho Cha Boogie recently retired. he was my first good horse. he won the conso at 2yr. ran 2nd in the champs at 3yr. and then finished it off by running another 2nd in the stayers champs this past season. i currently have west of the pecos. a very good older filly. she won the stayers champs this past season.

Tell us about your best win and why it meant so much.
My first champ with rumbling ryan. you never really know for sure that you will ever win one until it actually happens.

List some of your top achievements.
this is a very competitive game. and i guess that solidifying myself in the top 10 is an accomplishment that i am proud of.

What do you typically do before a big race?
nothing really

Tell us about your most memorable moments on virtual horse racing.
it has to be the evening that west of the prcos popped out of the ring. just going thru that 1st training cycle, i knew that i had a money maker.

What are your goals for your future racing on virtual horse racing?
just refining my strategies and maintaining a competitive position.

What advice would you give to new virtual horse racing members?
attaining and maintaining success at digi is a process. not an event.

Name the best horse, in your opinion, belonging to a fellow member.
during my time here, it has been king domination.

What is your favorite real horse racing event?
the kentucky derby.

Are you involved in real horse racing and if so in what capacity?
in my early years i was involved extensivly in horse racing. now, just a horse player.

What are your goals for the future of your stable?
over time i need to increase the size of my stable up to around 200 and at the same increasing the % of added money runners.

 Interview/s

Interviews are done at Digiturf.com's discretion and may be edited. We typically interview
members who have achieved 500 runs and won Championship Finals.

10 December 2010

What does it feel like to win a Championship race? It is really exciting. It took me awhile to get a champ and if one plans to play the game for awhile it is a milestone i was striving for.

How optimistic were you about winning and who was your biggest rival? I had 3 qualifiers for the 2 yr old sprint. My winner was a relatively cheap auction buy and certainly not my best that season and not even my best in the race. just got lucky.

What routines do you follow before the race / while watching the race? No special routine. I called a buddy of mine the like to get the results of competitions like this.

How do you prepare for a Championship Series & what advice would you give other trainers? No special preperation. I just try to get the fitness level maxed out.

How do you celebrate the Championships? Me and the old woman had a nice dinner.
