The Black Lotus Championship Series Interview When we congratulate Black Lotus on winning three Championship Series it’s because his skill and determination deserve to be recognized but most importantly for inspiring future generations to raise the bar higher than winning just one championship. Even though winning one is tough enough!
Sakura (Jpn) gets into the groove of championship racing
A Black Lotus could be many things from a femizon, a clothing label or a gothic yoga studio but at Digiturf.com Black Lotus is actually the seven times championship winner in Digiturf.com’s $74,000 Championship Series- three of which he picked up last week; thanks to the collective efforts of Sakura (JPN), King Domination and Ap Incredible who won the Juvenile Sprint Championship, Saratoga Sprint Championship and the Triple Crown Classic Championship. Talk about a winning foursome with Black Lotus in the middle!
I am a horse racing fan and I played in many fantasy sports games before I joined this site. I think that is a good combination, and boy, this is by far the best fantasy game that I’ve ever played. What do you look forward to most when playing on virtual horse racing?
I look forward to compete against other top players, and look forward to watch my horses run. It is very exciting, especially when my horses are doing well. How does playing on virtual horse racing compare to real horse racing?
There are many unknown factors in real horses racing, and the general public only knows a few. Whereas in virtual horse racing, we are dealing with a lot less unknowns. We know the ability of our own horse and what level they should be based upon their TTs. Tell us about your first winner and your other top horses.
I forgot which horse was my first winner. I started with a G2 stable so it was probably a G2 claimer. I have many good horses but I consider the quartet of King Domination, Secret Domination, Rusty Angel, and Domination Legend which I bought from Trezza Stables my top horses. Those four are some of the all-time best horses in digiturf history and I have a great pleasure racing them. Tell us about your best win and why it meant so much.
My best win is definitely King Domination winning the Saratoga Sprint Championship this past season on his final chance before retirement. During his 6 yr old campaign, I expected him to compete on both the Sprint and the Classic Championship, but he drew 14th post on both races and was not a factor. I was so glad he won a championship with me before his retirement, against a very tough field including other Hall Of Fame horses like Ap Executioner, Irish Cream, Secret Legend, and Golden Lineage. List some of your top achievements.
All championships are my top achievements. Other than that, I can think of winning 8 races a day an achievement. Even though some of the races are claiming races and small field sizes, it is still difficult to achieve. What do you typically do before a big race?
Just make sure my horse is in top fitness I desire and have all their equipments on. Tell us about your most memorable moments on virtual horse racing.
Winning my first championship. They always say winning the first one is most difficult. I totally agree. On many occasions before my first champ win, I had many tough luck losers that ran second or third. Ironically, my first few champ wins were not considered top horses in those races. Sometimes it is better lucky than good! What are your goals for your future racing on virtual horse racing?
I hope one day I’ll have a homebred champion. All my champ wins so far are auction purchases. I am not a big ring buyer so that may not happen anytime soon. What advice would you give to new virtual horse racing members?
Be patient, know where your horse belongs and place them right. Name the best horse, in your opinion, belonging to a fellow member.
Right now I think Ap Executioner, Irish Cream, Secret Legend, and Golden Lineage are the best older horses. 3 yr old Toc Black Magic is a rising superstar as well. What is your favorite real horse racing event?
Kentucky Derby and Breeders Cup. Are you involved in real horse racing and if so in what capacity?
I am just a fan, but I have a dream to own and race a real horse in the future. What are your goals for the future of your stable?
Just to maintain a self sufficient stable. After the retirement of King Domination, things will get tougher so I always remind myself to be more careful on my placements.
