Digiturf.com’s Top 100 Trainers (2011)

The virtual horse racing community on Digiturf.com is a highly competitive one in which the only thing harder than getting to the top is staying at the top. Making it into the Top 100 is an achievement many dream of but only a few can achieve. One doesn’t crack the Top 100 list just by running lots of races, although these trainers have certainly done their fair share of groundwork, or by spending a lot of money even though it might look like they’ve spent a small fortune but they’ve cracked the Top 100 list by taking everything that came their way and running over whatever got in their way. 

They’ve run big races, small races and free races, in fact they’ve run in every kind of race that they could find that was suitable for their horses. They never (well seldom!) complain about their jockeys because they know that good preparation and placement and placement will make the best of even the worst overcome the worst eventualities. They don’t have time to complain about why they didn’t win a race because they’re focused on winning their next race. 

The Top 100 trainers are an inspiration to all stables because love them or hate everyone wants to be one of them. These are the trainers who started with nothing but the silks on their back and a horse that the sales Ring could only give away for free. What distinguishes their success is that they never got any lucky breaks or handouts from anyone in life but here they are today. They can stand proudly amongst the other Top 100 players knowing that they earned their position in this community just like everyone else: the hard way! 

We hope that they inspire you as much as they’ve inspired us because without their leadership we would be lost. They’ve created the community that we all enjoy today by campaigning for better programming, enhanced features and by nurturing each successive season of rookies who showed some promise of becoming the next greatest player in the world of virtual horse racing. But don’t put them on a pedestal because they one thing that keeps them going is the competition to stay there.
