Soccer Preview: Nigeria Has World Cup Victory Greeced! Only diehard fans will have tickets to see Greece or Nigeria lose against each other. They both lost their opening games so watching them get beaten once more by a team that’s already lost to another team is just the ultimate insult. But you’re not going to get your money back for those tickets, scalpers can’t even give them away, so you may as well pitch and see what happens. Greece’s lackluster first match didn’t even resemble a soccer match, there was no fighting spirit and one would have been more entertained if they had been playing a game of chess behind the goal posts. Nigeria’s game against Argentina was even less exciting as they went defensive and still managed to lose. Both teams need to raise their game dramatically if they are to go home and face their home crowds with any dignity. They’re not going to make the finals but the opportunity to make it into the next round could redeem their lack of presence at the 2010 World Cup games. We anticipate a Nigerian victory against Greece, they’ve displayed good defense in the face of adversity while Greece have become so desperate for at least one goal that they may even lose sight of it.
