Soccer Preview Portugal v North Korea: Portugal Prepares For North Korean Surprise http://forums.digiturf.com/Posts.aspx?fid=28&tid=54558&iv=y

Soccer Preview: Portugal v North Korea

The biggest surprise of the 2010 World cup was that North Korea could compensate their lack of experience with great teamwork and ball control against the Brazilian team. Credit must go to their coach who managed to put as many men behind the ball to either defend it against the Brazilians or work it towards a goal. Their strategy paid off, maybe not in winning goals but earning much needed credibility.

However, credibility doesn’t win matches, and this is going to be even more evident when they face Portugal today. The heat is on for the Portuguese to win this match. They need to win three points today to take the pressure off having to beat Brazil to make it into the next round of 16. The Brazilians are a tenacious bunch and it would be easier for Portugal to beat North Korea today than run themselves rugged around Brazil later this week. Are the North Koreans tenacious enough to beat Portugal at their own game, because this really is Portugal’s game- which is why they are the favorites to win. The world, Portugal supporters or not, are also hoping to see if Ronaldo can score or not. Especially against Ri Myong-Guk, North Korea’s goalkeeper with near super-human stopping abilities!
