Thanksgiving is celebrated to express gratitude and appreciation for the blessings one has received throughout the year. While it is typically associated with American culture, you would be surprised to learn that Thanksgiving is celebrated around the world in countries as widespread as Asia, South America, and Europe.
Traditionally, it was a religious holiday associated with giving thanks for a bountiful harvest but is gradually being adopted as a day of gratitude by different cultures and communities.
