Kentucky Classic Championship Colts
It was a close call as the $20,000 colt, Irish Cream positioned himself in the fourteenth position of the championship standings but he did it with such agility by winning both of his qualifying runs. That was all he needed to qualify. Now wonder he is the most highly tipped contender to win the Kentucky Fillies Classic Championship Colts. King Domination pulled a similar strategy by placing higher in the championship standings without winning an actual race. These two heavyweights will find they’re up against strong competition in the finals where points matter less than winning. Ap Executioner pulls in with third highest winnings alongside his relative Ap King Of Pain. Ap Executioner has higher earnings through his stakes races while Ap King Of Pain performed better in his qualifiers with an extra win. Mega Tsunami, Grand Nagus and Mass Extinction are tipped to take them them head on for the title. Its going to be a tough race when these thoroughbreds challenge each other for the title. To The Rescue and Vision Of Success performed well in their qualifiers even though they’ve never beaten any of the other horses in this field. They may be outclassed by the stronger competition. Second place was the best qualifying position for Midnight Massacre, Chocho Cha Boogie, Capital Offense, Cryptic Oath Great and White North . They’d need to give a little extra to place in the championships tonight. Its not that they don’t have the potential to win or place but when facing such stiff opposition from the other runners they’re probably going to need an astute jockey in their saddle. The Kentucky Classic Championship Colts looks like a showdown between the established champions themselves and the contenders who will be racing like never before.
Kentucky Classic Championship Fillies
There’s a formidable line-up in the Kentucky Fillies Classic Championship Fillies. Blazing Breanna, Rusty Queen, Salty Girl, Countess Bathory and Miss Alacrity have all raced through their qualifiers to secure them a safe spot in the finals. Their victories in their individual qualifiers prove they have the determination facing run straight for the winners circle. Between the five of them you can anticipate a close finish because their unrelenting staying power over a classic 2400M track is testament to their physical training and and mental determination to win at all costs. Queen Gaga, West Of The Pecos and Donna Martini will have to give it stick in this race. Their qualifiers have seen them placing in third and fourth positions, which doesn’t bode stand them in good stead in a championship races against six other horses that have gone the distance and won their qualifiers. One hopes to see something magical happen in this race from these three fillies considering their fine pedigree and their impeccable background. The smart money is on Domination Abi. She’s sailed effortlessly through her qualifiers while whipping up some impressive earnings in her stakes races but big earners don’t always live up to their net worth in a Championship Series. Doggy Blaster and Heavenly Divine appear to be flying under the radar with their three albeit very impressive qualifier runs. They’ve virtually matched Domination Abi with even less effort so it will be interesting to see how they fare against each other when US$2,000 is at stake. Rolex Girl is straddling the dividing line between being a serious contender with her cash balance while only rising in her qualifiers to placer fourth at best in her qualifiers. How she performs in the Kentucky Fillies Classic Championship is open to speculation but tipsters are putting their faith in her ability to rise to the occassion come championship night. Queen’s Jewel and Macka Beast are both powerful moneyspinners in their own right but their prime positions in the championship standing are more the result of frequent qualifier runs than wins proportionate to their races. But anyone who’s seen them in their in their stakes races will know that even at their worst they are better than the rest. The Kentucky Fillies Classic Championship Fillies looks like its open an open race, the monsters appear to dropped their guard while the contenders look they’re champing at the bit to get to first place without raising any suspicions.
