Triple Crown Sprint Championship runners: Prepped, Previews and ready for your selections on Digiturf.com!

Triple Crown Sprint Championship 3Y Colts

Within the exception of four horses, all of the Triple Crown colts have either won or placed second in their qualifying races. That doesn’t mean they’re all going to make it into the winner’s circle but you’re guaranteed of watching one of the most hotly contested championship races.

Diamond Crown looks like the most likely winner. He’s dominated the championship standings and his qualifiers. He’s a formidable runner in any race (notably when the financial stakes are high). But there’s also Simply Spiteful, Sultan Of Swings, Table Max, The Decision, Mischief Managed and Spotty Moose who are all capable of holding their own against Diamond Crown. A dramatic victory is always exciting but tight victory is even more exciting. Expect one in this race!

Purple Velvet is the wildcard in the race. He’s enjoyed considerable success during the season in the stakes races but hasn’t been particularly visible in the qualifers. Still, after considering his earnings for the season and his close finishes in the qualifiers you’d want to keep a look-out for him this championship race.

Come Home To Papa, Musical Murder, Vaporized Whisper, The Dark Prince, Wringing Wet and Better Dub don’t enjoy the same high profiles as the other horses but don’t discount their ability in the Triple Crown Sprint Championship. They might surprise you.

Triple Crown Sprint Championship 3Y Fillies

Don’t underestimate the horsepower in a fillies stride. The fillies in this season’s Triple Crown Championship could probably take on the colts in their own races.

Mass Exposure, Filly The Kid and Zarzuela are an unholy threesome that can tear up the tracks irreparably on their own but when you add Miss Independence, Dream Rider, Miss Friday, Bob’s Beauty and Pool Party to the race you know the Turf Master is going to flinch! These fillies have the points, wins and earnings to prove that true champions don’t need to be gelded to win a race. Be afraid, be very afraid.

A surprising favorite amongst the tipsters is Baby Baby O. She’s been flying under the radar the whole season or some tipsters know more than we do. This season’s tipping competition only allows one entry per tipster- so you know its not her trainer tipping her!

Slammin Adds and We Ourselves have performed admirably in their qualifiers but they’re going to have to get ruthless if they intend keeping up with this field. It’s not that they’re out of their league in this race but this race is going to be a fierce one. Good luck to Sweet Dream, Caballo De Oro and Bob’s Cinteelo!
