Danewin was quick into stride and went up to lead them along the rail with Great White North and Design For Life on his outside, West Gone Black was being rushed up to track over from a poor draw while Pellizotti and Silent And Deadly were right there, less than a length off the leaders early on. At this stage it was a rather compact field with Priscus Of Rome and Secret Smash at the rear but only 5 lengths off the leader. Heading down the backstretch, Great White North took up the running from Danewin with West Gone Black a length off the leader, Pellizitto was between runners with Design For Life 2 lengths back while Apache Chant, Silent And Deadly and Country Outlaw sat midfield around 6 lengths off the leader. Secret Smash remained relaxed at the rear of the field and dropped over a dozen lengths off the leaders.Turning for home, Great White North skipped clear by 4 from Danewin who was a further 2 lengths ahead of Pellizotti and West Gone Black, Cotton Club was starting to make progress with Design For Life while Apache Chant and Silent And Deadly were still mid pack and around 8 lengths off the leader. Stewart was still content to sit at the rear on Secret Smash and was now over 16 lengths off the pace. Racing into the final furlong Great White North was still going great guns upfront and held a handy 2 length lead over Cotton Club making good progress along the rail, Danewin was now tiring and Golden Glow moved past him but the big movers were Priscus Of Rome and Secret Smash who had taken off from the rear of the field and slicing through the field to catch the leader. Stewart timed his run to perfection and Secret Smash mowed them all down to win going away from Priscus Of Rome and Cotton Club who did all he could, Great White North kept rolling for 4th ahead of Golden Halo back in 5th.
