Triple Crown Sprint Championship - Colts - England 1400 Soft

With Golden Lineage having total earnings of more than three times his closest rival in the standings, Paris House would be forgiven for already having his Vegas vacation booked in anticipation of the $1,000 check he will earn in this race. While golden Lineage certainly looks unopposed in the race, I have noticed something that could throw the cat amongst the pigeons here - the 48 win hot favourite for this race has never won on soft going!

Bearing this fact in mind, we could just be in store for an upset here and if the top class Golden Lineage fails, there are a few who would be very suited to the going. All of Ap King Of Pain, The Situation, Ap Flame Thrower and Mega Tsunami absolutely love the soft ground with the latter having won 5 of his last 6 races on soft - the only concern here is that all of these horses look to prefer further than the 1400 trip which throws us yet another curve ball. One who enjoys the soft and is distance suited is Ap Punisher, a horse who will likely go off at very long odds.

I don't think this race is as cut and dried as some may think, but nevertheless I will stick with Golden Lineage to win from Ap King Of Pain and Ap Flame Thrower with all of The Situation, Mega Tsunami, Love Generation and Ap Punisher fighting it out for the minor money.

Triple Crown Sprint Championship - Fillies - America 1400 Muddy

A very, very open race and with most of the Qualifiers being run with the going on top, there is not much form to go on here. Apart from the lack of muddy form, it would seem that several of the top sprint fillies got less than great age changes and add to that, many of them look like 1200 Metre specialists.

On exposed 3yo form it would seem that Deadly Mistress and Victory Angel are best suited to the race with both of them recording big WFA wins over today's conditions, my leaning is towards Deadly Mistress as the likely winner simply as she has the better draw - up and coming trainer Bigbob may just break his Championship maiden here.

Of the others, I like the look of Jetting Judy who is the class of the race but seems to have lost a bit of her fight as a 3yo while Secret Mistress looks good on muddy but may prefer it a little further. Maico is a bit on an enigma but has put in some impressive efforts, with a good jockey she could surprise. Benzinator has been avoiding muddy conditions but has fair muddy form and will be right there with some luck in the running while lightly raced The Mad Hungarian is well suited to the conditions and could upset them all. Shulamite and Rachel Alexander are both useful fillies but certainly seem like they prefer it shorter.

The selection is Deadly Mistress to win from Victory Angel and Jetting Judy with just about the rest of the field in with a chance of a check.
