The following exciting changes are underway to bring you the most thrilling season the Digiturf.com community has ever seen. Brace yourselves for the fastest running season in the history of virtual horse racing. You asked for them and now you’re getting them, faster than your horses can run across the finish line!
Re-allocation of Sponsorships to Grade 1 A & B Division RacesDid you ask us to increase sponsorships on Grade 1 A & B Division races so that it is commensurate to nomination fees? It is now a reality. We agree that the best horses deserve the best sponsorships, so while the race programmer will continue sponsoring the C Division races with the customary $25 cash, all G1 A Division and B Division races will now be sponsored with a heftier $50 cash. If ever you needed an additional incentive for your Maiden Juvenile horses to win their races to become eligible for sponsored races then this is a $50 cash incentive! In doing so we have removed the sponsored bonus credits from the lower end G1 races as we believe these will be better deployed in cash at the higher levels of racing.
Introducing Limited Edition Races Exclusively For Low G1 horsesDid you ask us to stop those monsters running in your Low Grade 1 races?Well, you asked for it and now we’re pleased to confirm that Digiturf.com’s developers are developing a brand new type of race exclusively for the lower G1 horses. These races aim to use earnings caps as a new eligibility requirement to keep out the best horses. Our objective is to encourage participation of a much larger percentage of the lower G1 horses in G1 races and encourage the monster horses to continue running in the sponsored G1 races where they belong. All in all it fosters an environment with more competitive racing across the board.
Increasing Competition In The ChampionshipsSo as to reduce the incentive to mothball top horses and to rather encourage them to race, all 3-7Y horses need to compete in a minimum of four qualifying runs to be eligible for the lucrative end of season Championships & Consolation races. We want to see the best of the best competing more frequently against each other for final position in the Championships Series. The spirit of the Championship series is to allow the top horses on the site to compete for top honors. Consolations are going to be reserved for those Champions that deserve to finish in the finals but didn’t make it into the top 14.Championships, consolations and Grade 1 stakes races will never be the same again. We hope you share in our excitement in introducing these racing changes together with the New Sales Ring, revised Rated Racing structure and other race stimulating enhancements we are introducing. We believe they bring us an exciting new racing season where everyone can compete in fuller races, whether you have a Champion vying for top honors or you want to have some fun with lower end horses you have bought from the ring. Enjoy!
