Bigbob previews Digiturf.com's upcoming JUVENILE SPRINTCHAMPIONSHIP SERIES!

BIGBOB'S JUVENILE SPRINT-FILLIES PREVIEW

Distance 1400 Track Hong Kong- Soft

Tockyocky Racing's Toc Sonic Boom begins her quest for 2 championships with today's Juvenile Sprint. This terrific and versatile filly is a threat on any surface and is the gal to beat.

Chrisman's Safety Kept is the chief contender. She has a win at the distance, can run multiple surfaces, and comes from a barn that is always a threat in the Champs. Her stable mate Xstuds Queenie can handle the distance, but all of her best efforts have been on the dirt.

Filante Stables Olympias burst on the scene in mid-season and has been a major presence this season. Filante broke the bank to bring this gal into his barn and is hoping that she can justify his purchase with a big win in this race. She would benefit from a firm turf course.

Evil Racing has a very dangerous entry in Ides of March and Rooster's Jewel. Both of them can run the distance and both fillies are versatile and can handle multiple surfaces. Ides of March seems slightly the better of the two, but both are capable of coming in the money.

Inxs' Dakota Bubbles has had a solid season for this excellent barn. If the turf course is firm she has a good shot to hit-the-board (that's Yank talk for coming in the money!).

Black Lotus' AP Speed of Light was another big mid-season acquisition. This tough and capable filly has had some tough racing luck most of this season and the stable hopes that the breaks come their way in the finale although 1200 seems to be her best distance.

Rio Co's Rio Desert Vixen appears to like the 1600 distance more than 1400, but if the surface for the finals is firm or good, she could come in the money with some racing luck.

Bigbob's Bob's Cicada likes the distance and could grab a share if the turf is good or firm for the finals.

Jefcain's Bandits is a solid contender. She has a win in a qualifier and needs a yielding turf course to run her best although she has a couple of good efforts on a soft course.

Gebb's Gebbs Rebel Girl won the Maiden Juvenile Championship at 1200. Although she has a 3rd at 1400, most of her best efforts have been at 1200 which appears to be her preferred distance.

Brookfield Lodge's Pegasus Dream won the Belmont at 2400 and was versatile enough to have a 2nd at 1200 in a qualifier. She appears to favor longer distances but can run multiple surfaces and certainly can't be ignored.

Onoonoflyers' Onoonowhite did not show a strong performance at the distance and it would be a surprise to see her contend.

RACE ANALYSIS

A soft turf course makes this an interesting race. No one in this race shows truly excelling on the surface. This would appear to make it harder for an outsider to spring a surprise.

Many fillies in this race seem to prefer the 1200 or 1600 distances to the distance in today's final. It will be tough for any of them to overcome the favorites.

This race looks like it will come down to the big 3 of Toc Sonic Boom, Olympias, and Safety Kept. Any one of them could win, but I am picking Toc Sonic Boom to win it all. From the other horses, Ides of March seems to have the best chance to contend. Good luck to all. Bob
